A little bit about me...Hello my name is Dennis Gonzalez and I am originally from Long Beach, New York but have been living in Honolulu, Hawaii since December of 2004...I currently reside in Honolulu and have been working as an electrician since 2005. I am also a computer technician / network consultant and have been since 1990. In 1990 my 10 year old son Raymond asked me, "How come we don't use the computer s in the library?" Since then I enrolled at LIU Brooklyn campus for an Upgrading and Repairing Computers continuing education course. I followed that up with LIU C.W.Post campus in Computer Science Dept. and started my own business, Boot Up! Computers Inc. soon after. Graduated from the ABC Apprenticeship Program Hawaii Chapter in 2009. Today I work with Watanabe Electric a member of the Hawaiian Electricians Local 1186 IBEW and currently with working on Schofield / Wheeler Military Base building homes for the troops now. I am fortunate to have been offered an apprenticeship this past July 2009 and currently a member of the The Hawaii Electricians Training Fund a 5 year program. I am going to school again and grateful to have had the background I did when joining the Union. If God takes a liking to me I will graduate in 4 more years and test for my Journeyman Electrician's license. It just goes to show, that it's never too late! I had no idea this pic was taken at the time... a friend called me to tell me that it was in the magazine Building & Contractors!
Aloha ny2honolulu...before coming to Hawaii ...this is where I used to live...Long Beach, N.Y. before embarking on my dream here... I am currently living here Manoa...
